Not everyone is called to the mission field, but ALL of us are called to support the work of those who are. As we give our finances and prayer time to them, we also share in the rewards of the work that is done. When we get to heaven, we will meet all those saints of God who are there as a direct result of our support. Because we are supporters of missionaries we are able to lay hold of the financial promise that is found in Philippians 4:19, “But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Here at IFC we support several missionaries: Rev. Christopher Alam – Dynamis World Ministries, Jackie Benefield, Revs. Ike & Cindy Cool Ministries, Rev. Keith Hershey – Mutual Faith Ministries/L.I.F.E. Unlimited, Shekinah Glory, Revs. Rich and Daphne Walker as well as our own IFC missions. All our missionaries have dynamic and diverse ministries in the area of missions, and most are graduates of Rhema Bible Training Center.
Rev. Christopher Alam was born to a prominent Islamic family in Pakistan and gave his life to the Lord at the age of 21. After several years of persecution, including prison, Rev. Alam escaped to Europe and eventually made his way to Rhema. He’s ministered in over 70 countries, raised up over 1000 churches and has ministry teams based in the USA, Asia, Europe and Africa. Rev. Alam resides with his wife, Britta, in Lancaster, PA.
Jackie Benefield is a homegrown missionary from right here at Impact. She served for over twenty years as the director of our Primary Department, all the while knowing she was called to the mission field. Jackie takes short-term missions trips as the Lord leads. Some of the places she has been include Africa, Guyana, Russia and Tajikistan.
Rev. Ike and Cindy Cool live in Quebec City. The Cools attended IFC for more than 12 years, serving as associate pastor and youth minister before moving to Canada. After serving for two years in a local church in Sherbrooke, Quebec, where they began to learn the language – this area is French speaking – and the customs of the region, the Cools started their church by holding services in their home, and recently moved to their own building.
Rev. Keith Hershey and his wife, Heidi, live in and base their ministry in California. He has outreaches into several parts of the world including Africa, Central America, Asia and the Middle East. Besides crusades, Rev. Hershey’s ministry also has a television program that is seen in several countries and an outreach called Giving and Receiving. This program sends shipping containers of everything from food and clothes to medical equipment, office supplies and even vehicles into needy countries.
Shekinah Glory is an evangelistic singing group from Tulsa, Oklahoma who presents the gospel of Christ through songs that teach, exhort, edify and minister. They hold evangelistic concerts and crusades throughout the United States, Canada and overseas in countries such as France, Russia and Scotland. The group consists of Rev. Cindy Duvall and Revs. Ray and Lois Taucher.
Rev. Rich Walker and his wife, Daphne, are currently living in Burgos, Spain where they have been called to plant a church and minister throughout Europe. The Walkers are RHEMA graduates and their home church is in Fredonia, New York. Their mission is simple – to go into all the World with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
